Management

Douglas Hase — President

Doug first became a licensed Commercial Lighter-than-Air/Free Balloon Pilot in 1990 and maintains an unrelenting passion for aviation related business. Founder of Adrenalin Adventures, the first bungee jumping company in the US, Doug still holds the distance bungee record of 2,600 feet, performed from a hot-air balloon. Founder of Pterodactyl Paragliding, a full service paragliding school, Doug has logged first descent flights from thirty of Colorado's 14,000-foot peaks as well as +20,000-foot remote peaks in the Americas. Doug has directed many engineering programs related to his businesses including an STC to FAA standards. In 1993, Hase also founded and grew an advertising business, which he sold profitably in 1999. Doug has also held the Northeastern Director of Sales position for a web-conferencing company and finally, founded AeroBalloon in 2003.

Shaun Asbury — Vice President, Operations

Shaun has been the Senior Manager of the Niagara Falls 30-passenger balloon for the past five years. His knowledge and experience is invaluable as AeroBalloon grows worldwide. Shaun is an expert in helium balloon systems, inflations, maintenance, repair, training, and customer service. Shaun also leads our training program as we prepare the next group of AeroBalloon operators.

Doran Donovan — Vice President, Sales

Doran is leading the sales efforts to bring AeroBalloon systems to tourist destinations around the world. For the past year, he has been the General Manager of AeroBalloon's New Hampshire site where he was in charge of lease negotiations, permitting, media relations, sponsorship sales and day-to-day operations. Prior to joining AeroBalloon, Doran managed sales and marketing for eight years at a leading GPS Navigation company in Massachusetts.

Brett Commander

Brett is a Colorado Certified Professional Engineer specializing in civil and structural engineering and has worked with Doug on many projects since 1990.

Andy Baird

Andy manages Cameron Balloons U.S., the world's largest manufacturer of hot-air balloons. Andy has been a competitive balloon pilot for over 16 years and plays an integral role in designing AeroBalloon gondola systems.
